When The Lowest Bidder Wins, The Buyer Always Loses
It’s at times unwise to pay too much, but it’s always worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you might lose a little money and that’s usually all you lose. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything because the very thing or service you bought was simply incapable of doing what it was you bought it to do.
The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot – it just can’t be done.
If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run. And, if you can do that, you will have had enough to pay for something better in the beginning.
